Nancy Mansfield,
PhD, Executive Director of Institute for Families, was awarded the
35th Annual Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Morris and Mary
Press Humanism Award for Support-Patient Care on March 25, 2008.
Nancy was the recipient of this award for going above and beyond
her daily job expectations demonstrating consistent thoughtfulness
and kindness in her interactions with patients, coworkers and guests.
"This was a great honor to see that Nancy's hard work and dedication
to helping families and others was recognized and acknowledged throughout
the hospital" said Peggy Yoshino, Institute for Families Board
President.
Jazmin Asbun,
Administrative Assistant for Institute for Families, was also nominated
in the support non-patient care category. There are four awards
given out annually and being nominated is a great honor in support
of her efforts in supporting the Institute.
An award ceremony
and reception was held on March 25, 2008 at CHLA to celebrate all
recipients of the Morris and Mary Press Humanism Awards given. To
