CHLA's 2011 Celebrate Life with Hope Event

The 2011 CHLA Celebrate Life with Hope event is a place where childhood cancer survivors and their families get together to meet with hospital staff and local/national support agencies. In addition to enjoying food and fun, the event emphasizes health promotion and wellness through proper nutrition, exercise and self-care. It was held on the New York City back lot of Paramount Studios making the day even more special for the children.

IFF's booth included a fun event for the children where they decorated sun glasses with jewels, stickers and other items. IFF used this forum to help educate parents on the importance of looking out for the well-being of the entire family when their child has been diagnosed with a serious illness. It was a great way to share our core services and open doors to families who may need help during a very difficult time.
